November 2007
48th
Annual American Translators Association Conference
From November 1st through November 3rd,
IDEM participated in the 48th Annual ATA (American Translators’
Association) Conference. This yearly event is a great opportunity
for us to attend valuable industry seminars, to re-connect with some
of our favorite translators, and meet with new collaborators
interested in joining the IDEM team. In addition, this year’s
conference was held in San Francisco, allowing us to play host to
the many translators visiting our beautiful region.
As Silver Sponsors of the event, IDEM staffed a
recruitment and networking booth and sponsored a continental
breakfast for conference attendees. And on Friday night, to show our
appreciation for all the hard work of our freelance partners, IDEM
hosted a “Happy Hour” cocktail party in the Hyatt’s lovely Atrium
lobby, with drinks, appetizers, and great company. We would like to
extend a big thanks to all who attended and helped to make this
year’s conference a success!
